HOW TO REPAIR TOILET STOPPAGE?
Toilet stoppage are usually caused by foreign objects falling into the bowl (or just a little bit too much of IT?). The stoppage can normally be removed by using a toilet plunger or closet auger. There are times that the stoppage just cannot be removed with a toilet plunger or closet auger no matter how you try. It may be necessary for you to remove the toilet bowl in order to clear the stoppage. Here is how you can DIY to remove severe stoppage in the toilet bowl,
You will need
A wax ring (or wax gasket) and a wrench (to remove and fasten floor flange bolts).
Steps to remove the toilet bowl:
1 Shut off the water and empty the water in the flush tank. The water in the flush tank can be removed with siphoning or sponging.
2 Disconnect water hose from the tank.
3 Remove the tank from the bowl or disconnect the pipe connection between the tank and bowl. It depends on what you have in your house.
4 Remove the seat and cover from the bowl. If the thread is messed up, you may need to replace the seat bolts and screws with new. You can purchase the seat bolts and screws from Home Depot or local hardware stores if you need them.
5 Remove the bolts covers from the base of the bowl. They are usually snapped on and can be removed easily. Remove the bolts holding the bowl to the floors (to the floor flange).
6 Break the seal at the bottom and lift the bowl free.
7 Remove the obstruction and wax from the bowl discharge.
Steps to reinstall the bowl,
1 Clean the bottom of the bowl. Place the wax ring around the bowl horn and Place it into place.
2 Set the bowl over the soil pipe floor flange and press it into place.
3 Install floor flange bolts. Pull the floor flange bolts up the tighten the nuts. Use a level to make sure the bowl is set level. Use shim as required. Caulk opening with grout or caulking compound.
4 Reinstall all items that were removed for the work.
5 Remove the shim and recaulk as necessary after the caulking is set.
It's a dirty job and somebody has to do it. You can DIY or you can call us for services.

WHY IS SMOKE COMING OUT OF MY BOILER FIRE DOOR
There are many reasons that could cause smoke coming out of the boiler fire door. The first thing that you need to check is the flue pipe. Open the clean-out door to see if the flue is dirty or clogged. If the flue pipe looks O.K., you can check your fire damper to see if the setting is correct. Consult owner's manual to make sure the damper is set correctly. Check the draft inducer to see if it is functioning properly. A noisy inducer can sometimes indicate there might be a problem. You can also check the breeching to see if it is reduced improperly. Your boiler installation manual (or operation manual) shall provide you information on proper sizes of your boiler breeching.
WHAT IS CROSS-CONNECTION
The cross-connection means a physical connection through which a water supply could be contaminated. For instance, the water inside of a boiler can be a source of cross-connection. To prevent treated or containminated water inside of a boiler from flowing back into your potable water system resulting from thermal expansion, a back flow preventer should be installed at water feed line. Below is a typical backflow preventer (RPZ) commonly used on a commercial boiler.
